About the StagesBike SB20
The SB20 is a complete indoor bike rather than a trainer: no road bike is mounted, resistance is built in, gearing is virtual and shifted from buttons, and power is measured at the cranks. It speaks Bluetooth FTMS and ANT+ FE-C, so apps control it the same way they control a trainer.
Stages Cycling went through insolvency in 2024 and was acquired by Giant in 2025; the brand returned at Eurobike 2025, reopened SB20 support and manufactured spare parts, and launched the lighter SB200 in October 2026. Retailers now list the SB20 as sold out, so treat it as a used-market or clearance purchase and check firmware through the Stages app.
