How we test, compare and rate
The rules we hold ourselves to, written down so you can hold us to them too.

Three editorial classifications
Every review, guide and comparison carries one of these labels in its header. They are not interchangeable.
Hands-on tested
A member of the Cadexa team used the product in real training over a meaningful period, with the trainer connected to the Cadexa app and, where relevant, to other software. We describe what we did, for how long, and with which firmware. Measurements made by us are shown as “Cadexa measured” and are kept in a separate column from manufacturer claims.
Specification comparison
We have not handled the product. The article compares it with alternatives using manufacturer specifications and documented sources, each linked from the specification table. It is useful for narrowing a shortlist; it is not a test, and we say so.
Buying guide
Editorial recommendations based on criteria stated in the article: price band, use case, connectivity requirements and so on. Products in a buying guide may be hands-on tested or spec-compared; the product pages tell you which.
Where specifications come from
Each specification row records its source and type: manufacturer page, retailer listing, press coverage, or a Cadexa measurement. If a value is not published anywhere we trust, it is recorded as unknown. The comparison tool never fills a gap with an assumption.
Ratings
A numerical rating is optional and appears only on hands-on reviews, together with a link to the methodology that produced it. Specification comparisons and buying guides never carry a score, and we never emit review-rating structured data for them.
Cadexa compatibility
The compatibility checker separates three things that are often blurred together: the protocols a manufacturer declares, what should therefore work technically, and what we have verified with the Cadexa app on real hardware. Only the third layer can show “verified”. Each verification record names the app version, trainer firmware, date, tester, what was done and any limitation observed.
Prices
We display a price only when it was checked within the last seven days, together with the date. Otherwise the button says “Check price at retailer”. We never present a stale price as current.
Funding and independence
Retailer links are affiliate links and are labelled. Commission rates are recorded for internal reporting only and are not an input to any ranking, recommendation or verdict. We do not accept payment for coverage. Manufacturers may lend test units; when they do, the review says so, and the unit does not change what we write.
Corrections
Every page shows its publication and last-updated dates. If you find an error, write to ojbirke@gmail.com and we will correct it with a visible note.
Demonstration content
While the platform is being populated, some entries are labelled “Demo content”. They exist to show how the site works. Their specifications are manufacturer claims gathered from public pages and are not independently verified; they do not reflect any hands-on testing.
